Nik’s connection to the Waterloo area began in the early ’90s when he enrolled at the University of Waterloo. While earning his Bachelor of Arts degree, he also competed as a three-year Warrior on the Men’s Varsity Basketball Team, serving as team captain in his final season. The leadership, discipline, and resilience he developed as a student-athlete have been cornerstones of his professional success. After completing a Bachelor of Education at the University of Windsor, Nik taught English and Math from 2001 to 2006. His time as an educator sharpened his communication skills and the patience required to navigate complex transactions—a skillset that continues to benefit his clients today. Nik began his real estate career in 2004 and quickly rose to elite levels of production, earning recognition among Canada’s top-performing brokers. Over the years, he has played key leadership roles, co-founding Engel & Völkers Waterloo Region and serving as Managing Partner in York Region, before continuing his current work with as a Director and Broker Corcoran Horizon Realty. As Director of Growth for Corcoran Horizon Realty, Nik helped expand the brand and continues to train and mentor the brokerage’s agents.
